Nikolai Lantsov has always had a gift for the impossible. No one knows what he endured in his countryâs bloody civil warâand he intends to keep it that way. Now, as enemies gather at his weakened borders, the young king must find a way to refill Ravkaâs coffers, forge new alliances, and stop a rising threat to the once-great Grisha Army.
Yet with every day a dark magic within him grows stronger, threatening to destroy all he has built. With the help of a young monk and a legendary Grisha Squaller, Nikolai will journey to the places in Ravka where the deepest magic survives to vanquish the terrible legacy inside him. He will risk everything to save his country and himself. But some secrets arenât meant to stay buriedâand some wounds arenât meant to heal.
King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo is definitely one of my most anticipated books of 2019. I absolutely LOVED The Shadow and Bone trilogy and the Six of Crows duologyâ¤ď¸
I really can’t wait to read more about my favorite characters and also, can we take a moment to fangirl about the fact that this book is about Nikolai?!?!đđ I SERIOUSLY CAN’T WAIT TO READ MORE ABOUT HIMâ¤ď¸
I’m also scared to read it because I don’t want anything bad to happen to themđđ But I also know I will love it sođđ
Have you read Leigh’s books?đ Please let me know in the comments belowâ¨
