Hannah Cho and Nick Cooper have been best friends since 8th grade. They talk for hours on the phone, regularly shower each other with presents, and know everything there is to know about one another.
There’s just one problem: Hannah and Nick have never actually met.
Hannah has spent her entire life doing what she’s supposed to, but when her senior year spring break plans get ruined by a rule-breaker, she decides to break a rule or two herself. She impulsively decides to road trip to Las Vegas, her older sister and BFF in tow, to surprise Nick and finally declare her more-than-friend feelings for him.
Hannah’s surprise romantic gesture backfires when she gets to Vegas and finds out that Nick has been keeping some major secrets. Hannah knows the real Nick can’t be that different from the online Nick she knows and loves, but now she only has night in Sin City to figure out what her feelings for Nick really are, all while discovering how life can change when you break the rules every now and then.
MY THOUGHTS
First I want to thank my co-blogger Stacie and the Publisher for giving me the chance of reading and reviewing an ARC of In real Life by Jessica Love.
And now my reactions:
I will ask some questions first: Do you like love stories? Do you have online friends that you wish you could meet someday? Have you EVER imagined how it would be? Do you enjoy traveling with your friends? and Do you LIKE roller coasters?!? Yes, I said roller coasters, but you will have to read the book to actually know what I´m talking about 😀
When I first read the synopsis I thought it would be a great read, you know, traveling all the way to Las Vegas to finally meet your best friend after talking for so long while having all this feelings about how everything will turn out.
Hannah, the MC, is a very responsible girl, her sister and best friend have been telling her to go and finally meet Nick since they basically knew everything about each other. They called and text each other all the time and Hannah started to develop more feelings for Nick, like to actually Like him as a more than friends kind of thing , but she never actually told him.
When they arrived to Las Vegas everything EVERYTHING!! changed, like, I really don’t know how to say this without giving spoilers but it´s a one of a kind thing, there´s happiness, sadness, lies and of course LOVE.
Jessica Love did an amazing thing with this book, she succeeded in capturing the feelings of friendship, hope, love and made me believe that you can´t necessarily have to skip the fun things in life in order to actually succeed in school or in your life.
In Real Life is such a perfect book for those who like adventurous trips and believe in love, no matter how hard it can be. After I read the last sentence of Jessica Love´s book I automatically added it to my favorite contemporary books EVER, and I think you guys should add it to.
If you read the book please let me know, I would love to talk with you about this amazing story.
